Only One Survived by Craig Kodera

Midway Island, June 4, 1942, 7:00AM.  Grumman TBF Avengers on their maiden combat mission are attacked by A6M Mitsubishi Zero fighters from the aircraft carrier Akagi.  Of all the VR-8 squadron aircraft in this aerial engagement, only 8-T-1, flown by Ensign Albert K. "Bert" Earnest, pilot, and Radioman 3rd Class Harry H. Ferrier, tunnel gunner, survived.  The following 72hrs proved to be the turning point of the war in the Pacific:  in sinking four of the most powerful Japanese aircraft carriers at the battle of Midway.  Each print is co-signed by Harry Ferrier.
